Web tools

What is all this blog stuff about?
We're developing the Library on-line section of the VLE and the idea is that Library staff can add news about resources they hear about for Computing students, or staff too for that matter, to this web log without having to acquire any special skills.
Using the built-in RSS feed available their entries can then be picked up by web sites, moodle etc and it will always be the most up-to-date news that is displayed.
Staff can add the RSS feed to any relevant course in moodle, or just leave the feed going to the Computing section of the Department Resources part of Library on-line.
Each department now has a similar facility and we're developing similar tools for use in doing circulars, newsletters etc.
